Multiple polls are taken in active wedding video facebook groups, our music library website, in targeted online advertisements, and through the our mailing list. The judges are the industry peers themselves. Whether you’re a fellow wedding filmmaker or bride and groom looking for the best wedding videographer, there is no doubt that this list includes some of the top wedding filmmakers in the world.
The BROTHERS MARTENS
The Brothers Martens is a talented duo of brothers who have created a high caliber cinema + photo company based out of Texas. Henry is the mastermind behind the cinema side. Their films stand out among the crowd for many reasons. To start, you’ll notice their signature film stock look and color grading that is comparable to any 35mm Hollywood blockbuster movie. Next, the attention to detail when it comes to audio is top tier. This includes mixing the dialogue, sound design, and music together to match the beautiful imagery giving the viewer a one-two punch experience. Now storytelling is one of the hardest elements to pull off well during a wedding but Henry has a knack for hitting it out of the park every time. The Brothers Martens specializes in luxury destination weddings around the world.
Fiore Films, based out of New Jersey, has gained legendary status through its peers. Sharrone Califiore is the mastermind behind the look and feel of a Fiore Film. Dubbed through the industry as “The Unicorn,” some wedding filmmakers believe she is so mysterious that she does not even exist. Well, we can tell you that Sharrone is real and she is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. To their credit, Fiore Films may be one of the most copied styles in the wedding video industry over the last few years but everyone knows nothing compares to the original. There is a level of attention to every detail in every frame of her films. If we could point out a few characteristics that really stand out in a Fiore film, it would be: The color grade they’ve perfected, giving a soft, muted, lower contrast vibe. Their use of foreground and background elements while filming which often break rules that no cinematographer would dare to break (or would even know how). Lastly the art of composition using classic static shots when most others are trying to overuse drones, gimbals, and slow motion to hide imperfections. There’s Fiore Films and then there’s everything else.
