Paul Otten

Paul Otten is a mid-western singer/songwriter who is not ashamed to churn some heartfelt, acoustic, warm butter that sounds like Ryan Adams crying on David Gray's shoulder. Shell out some pure pop (think Tim Myers on a good day) candy nuggets. Or crack open a can of neo-blues, raunchy gut rock that smears white stripes all over the black keys. Most notably, Paul is half of the Indie Folk duo Big Little Lions with Canadian based singer/songwriter Helen Austin. In addition, Otten is an award winning producer, producing the JUNO Award winning children's album "Colour It" by Helen Austin, has worked with multi-platinum Grammy nominated songwriter Shelly Peiken ("What a Girl Wants," "Come On Over Baby") on a remake of her hit single "Almost Doesn't Count" (Brandy), is a two-time winner in the 2014 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, a winner in the 2014 International Songwriting Contest and is the first recipient of the John Braheny Songwriting Award.
